    Concerning This "window of opportunity" to "dispute"
    (12/5 - 12/10):
    1) what is the Start/Stop Date to send your Disputes?

    2)Can this All be done on the internet ?
    ps: I forgot where to get the Dispute Forms ??

    If you are speaking about a window of opportunity for the credit bureaus, no such thing exists.

    If you are speaking about creditors or creditbureaus then your ability to dispute never closes, however they can continue their collection efforts unless your dispute or validation letter is sent to them by no later than 30 days after you received your first demand for payment from them. In the event that you meet that deadline to dispute then they may not continue with collection efforts until the validation is completed.

    That only applies to 3rd party collectors since original creditors are not under FDCPA

    I believe the reference is to the holiday season, during which, the CRA's are overworked and understaffed, and so there is a "window of opportunity."

    Nave has a lengthy thread on this under C.H.O.D. I don't see any reason to repeat it all in another thread. No offense intended. :)
