    Hello Everyone,

I consolidated my Student Loans July of Last year and on my equifax CR i have a few loans still showing delinquent, However I know for a fact that these loans were consolidated. Here is my Dilemma These loans show last activity dates of 01/1997, Account Status 120+ DAYS PAST DUE, and Date Reported 07/2001.

    1. Should I wait till January of next year and dispute them as obsolete???

    2. Should I dispute now as not mine or inaccurate???

I'm looking for the best possible solution to remove them for my credit report for good. Since all of the loans are with the Department of Ed. I'm hoping to slide in the confusion...

    Any Suggestions???

I would just dispute it now - can't hurt to try. I disputed one of mine last month and it was removed.

    Question???

So you had a student loan consolidation??? and then you disputed the old loans as obsolete or not yours???

I have the same thing on EQ and EXP and am wondering how to dispute them. I found a thread in the student loan discussion of www.creditinfocenter.com some time ago that explained exactly how someone disputed them off. I can no longer find the thread (I am still look at this moment).

I would like to know if anyone has had them removed and which CRA they were removed from.
