I had disputed some accounts as not late assuming the OC no longer had the info. My credit report as of 8/30 had an AMEX Charge Off listed as OK for the period of 10/02 to 9/03 from Equifax only. Now Equifax shows OK for the period but a Charge Off i 10/03 and No Data for Experian except a Charge Off in 9/03 and 9/04 Does Amex usually accept a delete to pay letter? I owe them a little over 300 and I could pay it in two months.
Amex is pretty tough to deal with. I had a chargeoff with them, offered full payment for deletion (a LOT more than $300!), and they wouldn't budge as far as reporting goes. Maybe others have had better luck dealing with them?
