I received phone calls from RS Clark and Associates that I owe debt to Appliance Warehouse for renting a cleaner I told them I don't even know what appliance warehouse is. They told me the address where the cleaner was delivered to. Ironically, its the same apartment complex that I used to live in 7 years ago. But its the totally different suite #. Also, they said that it was delivered in 2004. I have moved out of that complex back in 2002. I sent them the letter to send me the proof and they send me just a simple document showing transactions. Is this validation? I don't even recognize this transaction. Should I send them a letter again asking for more proof?
You need to decide how you want to play this. Is it yours or not? What do you want "proof" of? That you lived there 2-years after you moved out? If you think it's yours and you would pay it if it was, then you might try to get some more details. If you think it's not yours because they have the wrong date and the wrong apartment number, then tell them they have the wrong person and to go find someone else to pick on. But if you try to play both angles, they'll just assume it's really yours and you're trying to yank their chain.
