My brother got divorced a few years ago and has a few lates on his credit report. We pulled a 3-1 report and found them. His credit scores are still over 700. I figure it is still worth disputing them. Should he send the challenges allat once to the bureaus or work on one item at a time. These are late pays, not chargeoffs. I appreciate any advice in this area. Robert Not sure if the removal of the late pays will help his scores but he would like to get rid of them if possible anyway.
Try goodwill letters to the OC. If he disputes with the CRA, he runs the risk of having the whole acct deleted from his report- that could affect utilization and history time line. Depending on who the creditor is, you could try www.planetfeedback.com for getting attention fast.
