I'm just FULL of questions today...

Does anyone have any advice on how to dispute paid chargeoffs? One is from 2 years ago, the other 3. Unfortunately, I paid each of them off earlier this year (not knowing any better).

Should I just claim they're not mine? I've already disputed them twice. The last time was in September.

Honestly, it is kinda a luck of the draw. Some collection agencies won't bother to respond to the bureaus after they received their money. While others will verify.

That is the reason I won't pay collections past the sol. I have several from 1995 that will fall off early next year. I took a hit on my Experian report and my credit expert score is 595. TU and Equifax removed all of the collections that I disputed. I asked for validation then disputed the collection accounts. They were removed from my reports.

Others may have other suggestions, but I would say dispute it again, and ask for procedures used to verify. That way you can tell if they're actually verifiying the information.

Also, try disputing online. That seems to work for some.

    Any other suggestions?
