    Hi,

Does anyone know how to have TU investigate an inquiry. I disputed one on my credit report and recieved a letter from TU that stated:

"We do not dispute inquiries. You must obtain a letter from the creditor that authorizes us to delete the item."

So... TU wants me to obtain written proof their subscriber violated the FCRA?

Has anyone had any success with disputing inquiries with TU short of a barroom brawl in Court?

Others on the board have had some luck disputing them online. I have heard that if you dispute inquiries only, there is also a better incidence of deletion. I have never had one deleted yet. I have sent nasty letters, threatened, nothing. Good luck!
