Has anyone had the displeasure of disputing something on your report with CSC Credit Services ? Equifax has my birthdate listed wrong so I need to have that changed. After trying to start a online investigation it told me that the database which includes my credit report is owned by CSC Credit Services which includes my report by share or in whole and I have to disupte it with them. I've been trying to call the 800# countles times within the last couple of hours. Everytime I get a "We are experiecing extremely heavy call volumes, please try your call again later, thank you for calling CSC Credit Services." Than it hangs up on me ..... I have a feeling this is going to be a major pain.
Try a fax dispute. search for the fax number, this may save heartache and pain in the lonf run, just keep a fax confirmation of them receiving the dispute.
ive been trying to call them all week with the same results (trying to find an explanation for some info they sent me). It feels like us folks who have to use CSC are being punished by EQ. somehow in July I got through to them, they were supremely rude...be ready for it. The lady who I spoke with tried to tell me that disputing because of DOL was frivolous. You should mail them your dispute. This way you will have documented proof as well. You will most likely need it, because they are bad about leaving incorrect info on reports it seems. good luck..
Thanks for the replys Heck I cannot even find a number for them that matches the one Equifax gave me much less an address. My equifax report did list my birthday ate 8/3/83. Just the year was wrong, hell now the month and day are wrong! Now its reported as 1/01/1983. I have NO IDEA how that happened.
some CA's must hire monkeys to type in the data they give to CRA's I've got about 10 different spellings of my name, year of birth is wrong as well, social security number is in there 2 different ways at least....about 20 (no kidding, 20) different addresses, only 2 or 3 of them are actually mine...most are just mispelled variations of the legit ones. and they give you crap when you want to dispute it, when they are sitting there seeing the same ridiculous stuff..gheez.
