Sent my dispute for my paid RNB C/O to TU, got the CCCR card dated 2/28/02, received a six page letter back for TU dated 3/5/02. First page, received your requestedâ?¦ investigation will be concluded within 30 daysâ?¦ bah, bah, bah Page 2, If you are using a credit repair company crap. Page 3 Fill out the following regarding the use of a credit repair company crap. Page 4 TUâ??s policy is to report adverse credit info for seven years from the date of closing/last activity, or from the date of first delinquency. Page 5 IF you would like to obtain documentation or written verification concerning your accounts you will need to contact the creditors involved directly. Page 6 TU will contact the source of the information and make any changes. Which one is true, 7 years from closing/last activity or date of charge off? What I sent them was a copy of my TU file dated 6/24/2000, which shows the RNB account settled â?? less than full balance. Opened 3/1995, Closed 4/1996, Updated 6/2000 Status as of 4/1996 charged off as bad debt. Attached was a copy of my current TU dated 2/7/2002, which shows the RNB, account settled â?? less than full balance. Opened 3/1995, Closed 11/2000, Updated 1/2002. Status as of 11/2000 Payment after charge off/Collection. 11/2000 is when I started this crusade to clean up my credit reports. This is the last thing left on my TU report that is negative. I am still looking for my payment/settlement to RNB to find the date I paid, I know it was before 11/2000. I will be damned if I am gonna let this sit on my report for seven years after being there for six already. So am I dense, or is TU right? Closing date or charge off date?
