Do CRAs actually check all disputes

I am beginning to believe they don't. I disputed one item with all 3. Equifax and transunion deleted it right away - experian has verified twice. Or do they just "say" they verified when they really didn't. I believe I saw a letter somewhere to be written to the CRA when others have deleted and they didn't. I am going to have to go search for that and send it off. I did send a validation letter to the CA agency though - maybe I will just wait for that to finish up.

I would say that there are many many times when a CRA verifies a debt without really going through the proper steps (if any) to see if this is indeed your account.

The more time you spend on the boards the more stories you will hear of a CRA verifying accounts that are incorrect. It happens ALL of the time.

When you find that letter, post it on this thread. i, for one, am down to the last few derogs. None of them are reporting on all 3 anymore. I don't believe for a second that they actually do an investigation every time.
