This weekend, I got a letter from TU stating that they need information from me as to what is on my BK from 95 as far as the specific creditors that were included. All three bureaus have copies of my BK papers, which I send in 98 for a previous dispute. Should I give them more info, or demand for deletion if the 30 day window comes up without TU being able to verify?
I think you should send them this : ) ----------------------------------------------------------- Dear Trans Union: Please explain how you are reporting information on my credit profile with 100% accuracy as required by law, yet you are requesting that I provide information to you. It is my understanding that it is a requirement for the Credit Reporting Agency to verify information. However, if you are requesting assistance from me, I will be happy to act as an independent contractor and obtain this information as you have requested. Please submit payment as invoiced below. Upon receipt of payment I will obtain the requested information and forward it to you so you may complete your investigation: Per Diem Charge: $250.00 Copying Charge: $ 25.00 * Mileage : $ 15.00 * Postage/Handling: $ 10.50 * ----------------------------------------- Total Due $300.00 *Minimum estimated expenses, I will invoice you for any excess expenses not covered by this minimum. ------------------------------------------------------------
In December I disputed with TU to include a certain creditor as part of the bankruptcy. I also recd a letter from them requesting copies of my bk papers showing the list of creditors. I called TU to let them know that I did not have copies. They said "just write that on the paper and send it back to us". Within a few days I recd my updated credit report from them showing the acct as included in bankruptcy. They had not even receive my reply yet. I think it's a stall tactic.
