The hard copies that I have received from Equifax and Experian after disputes and as update report have every time different Credit File confirmation numbers.
My Trans Union reports still have the same file number, although I received two updated reports from them also.

Does it mean that I have a split file and if thatâ??s case is that something to be worry about?

Never heard about a split file at EXP ...

Most likely you DO NOT have split file. What you are seeing might just be the way individual CRAs react to disputes. Do you have tons of credit obligations on your report (past and present included)? Or do you pull your report daily using PrivacyGuard, etc. ? Those are the only known risk factors to cause split file

No I don't have "tons" on my report, and I don't pull daily report ..

Iâ??m just suspicious what for they have to change credit file number every time â?? Equifax and Experian. Trans Union is keeping same number so far ..

TU's report #'s do not change. EXP and EQ both provide a new # every time they issue a report.

I totally had a split file at EXP....no doubt about it!!! And, it occurred without PG, etc.

I have pre-paid legal and they wrote EX a file..I also contacted the AG who really didn't like that EX was doing this...it took some time but it was eventually corrected....

It's happened to me at EX twice, in fact.

Now, that said, we now know that DH has a split TU file...occurred before PG, as well....
