A month ago, I did a wire transfer from my savings account to my checking account with another bank. However, the clerk responsible for the transfer did not debit my savings but she credited my checking account. Long story short I have used the money that should have been debited from my savings. The question is, I am legally responsible to pay this money back or is the clerk who made the mistake responsible. I have not been contacted by the bank officially, like the branch manager, but she did call and I have set up a time to meet with her. Is this customary or should I received a letter or a call from the bank manager.
They will NOT give you FREE MONEY...but any FEES involved should be "EATEN" by the bank that made the mistake...
The question is: Do you EXPECT them to give you the money for FREE? Pay it back and clear your conscious
