do the credit report agencies keeps records of deleted entries? if i had an entry deleted off my report. do they have a separate file that keeps what was on it before the deletion? and do they keep records of my past attempts to dispute items. if i disputed entries a year ago and i wait a year later to try again, will they know i tried before?

Actually, yes. It is called a Full Factual Report and can be accessed in limited circumstances.

As for records of disputes, yes, they maintain those as well.
