    hello gang!

i'm a newbie here and was wondering do companies like lexington law firm and the others really help your credit rating?

if you have used them in the past, were they worth it?

    thanks a bunch!

    Welcome to the board tinka!

I've never used Lexington law firm or any other credit repair firm for that matter, however, my advice to you is, do it yourself. You can save alot of money and no one is as interested in seeing your credit get better then you.

If you find that you simply do not have the time, then do a search on the board for lexington law firm and your search should yield you plenty of results both positive and negative about the firm.

However, since you've made it this far as to register with this board, I think you'll be one to stick around, read up, ask questions, and do it yourself.

    Good luck.

    Welcome.

To clarify, they do not really help your rating...they do try and correct derogatory items on your credit report, which if successful, should help your credit rating.

I have used Junum. You can learn alot using the search button above on Lexington, Junum, or credit repair firms in general. The basic concensus here is that you can do everything yourself EASILY, if you have some time (not much more time than keeping track of Junum or Lexington anyway). In fact most will argue that you can do it BETTER. I would agree with those people.

It is easy to learn, and I think something you SHOULD know how to do anyway...so jump right in.

Order all 3 of your reports (something you would have to do for Lex or Junum anyway) and then you can weigh your options to do-it-yourself, or let George ... I mean Lex (sorry George).

    Once again welcome.

    -Peace, Dave
