Okay, I just emailed Don Richman with a complaint about an item not being reported correctly. I didn't mention any legal terms though. Please don't tell me that I will be put in the "Priority Club".

I wish I had read this thread BEFORE I sent him an e-mail. Please give me all the dirt. How will I know for sure that I have joined this elite club? Also, what wonderful benefits can I expect?

Christy, when I first was put into the Priority Dept, I posted a thread and asked the same question you did. What does this mean?

Several people posted who were all members. They said basically it was no big deal. They felt they had gotten better customer service. It was basically just an issue of waiting to have someone call you back.

I didnt find this to be true. Evidently Picantel didn't either. You call the TU 800 number. You give them your name, ss#, etc. The rep says "Oh, I see here that your file is being handled by the Priority Dept. I can give you no information. I will take your name and they will call you back within 24 hours." End of call. Well, they weren't that good about calling me back promptly. I waited 2 days called them again. Left another message. Two days later they called me, but I was away from my desk. They left a message. I returned the call to customer svc. Do you see the point here? It took well over a week for us to actually talk. When we did, I did not have a good experience. I expected to get a rep that was more informed, maybe reps who had been there longer or were used to handling complex cases. I got a true dummy. The issue was over an unauthorized inquiry. We went round and round and round about this. Finally she told me that TU's system was so sophisticated that it could SENSE the intention of someone pulling my credit; therefore, all inquiries did have a permissible purpose or the TU system would not have allowed it in the first place. I took her name, noted the date/time, and hung up laughing.

Basically it is just a big inconvenience. No one has figured out if our disputes are handled any differently or scrutinized more. I just don't know. I just don't think that TU took the effort to segregate us because they thought we were nice people!

I don't want to discourage you, but I emailed Don R. too. That is how I got in the club. I was very nice in my letter. I didn't threaten at all. I just asked for help. He didn't help me either.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!
    Lisa

Thanks for explaining it to me. Well after I e-mailed Don Richman, he responded very quickly.

The issue was that I have been trying to get a charge off account to show "included in bankruptcy". I told him that they fixed my husband's file and they weren't updating mine and this was a joint account. I gave him both of our social security numbers. He said he would sent it on to get looked at and to see why the two reports were not reporting the same. I guess if I get in the priority club then my husband will as well. I guess I will just wait and see what happens.

Might as well count me in too. Yesterday I faxed a 7 page nasty gram full of legal information to TU and did say I will be seeing you in court. So, I guess I will be part of that elite group as well. Can I have Don's email so I can have it handy to get out of the club as soon as I get in.
