I know you are one of the many that received the dreaded 45D code from Equifax and you both had posted you now have access after speaking with them. I just received a lovely email informing me that their technical department is handling my file and "may" have to split it. I am going to call them asap and inform them they had better NOT split my file.

I am curious how they fixed your files, did they mention splitting, or do they just fix their software??

    Thanks

Mom, they didn't split my file, thank God. (Had they done so, I would have been one severely chapped Doc.) A supervisor I spoke with there seemed sincere as he acknowledged the Catch-22 and stated that they were working on a systemwide fix due "sometime soon this summer." To my surprise, I was able to pull a report just a few days later. I guess that was a fluke, dunno. I will try to pull a report again in the next day or two.

I am wondering also. I have not heard back from their CS - it's wayyyy past 5 days. I send another email inquiry, nothing. I have not attempted to access my file, don't want to give them any excuse to split my file.

I was not told how my file was fixed. Nothing was ever mentioned about splitting. I would have pitched a fit if the offered to split my file. I have been through that nightmare at Experian.

I posted earlier what the told me the problem was, that the file was to long. It could only be a max of 64 lines(I wouldn't necessarily interpret 64 lines as the number of lines on your report. It could their programs handles "lines" of data, different than what you think of as printed lines).

I also do not believe they fixed their software. If they did you wouldn't still be having. problems. My first thought was that they would delete the some of their credit watch inquiries.

But my file looks the same to me as before 45D. I just counted the inquiries on my report 186 the day before 45D, 189 after my error was fixed.

So I am sorry I can't be of much help. I just can't find any differnce in my reports.

    Re: Update

Creditwatch won't give me my score. It will give me an updated report, and i called CS and they said that it may be because I have items in dispute. I told them I always have items in dispute. I'm calling Monday morning and raise a little hell. It's been over a week. Charlie
