Re: Doc...did you go to court today Lizardking, Didn't experian give you the same thing? Confidentiality agreement as well.....
Re: Doc...did you go to court today Dayum.........how did you get so lucky? I filed in January, court date is in March and they are still "jacking" around. Did you ever have to send them any proof or anything or they just deleted it all? Did you get any money?
Re: Doc...did you go to court today I am extremely happy for everyone that was able to get their credit reports cleaned (by small claims, threats, etc.) ... I followed Lizardking, LKH, DANRS and others and did the same. I filed the 3 lawsuits and set 3 separate court dates, but not one has contacted me. 2 I have already gone to court with and one is coming up. All the were process served and had an attatched settlement letter ala Lizardking. I did not ask for any money if items were removed. I don't get it?? Maybe they're getting more and more small claim lawsuits and are not willing to just delete in exchange for dropping the suit. Although I was and still am very ready for court and do have the proper documentation and proof - I would have and still prefer to settle out of court. I just contacted the "consumer affairs" dept. of the last CRA left to go to court with and re-offered to settle out of court. So far no reply????? If they don't settle, I will be fearless in court. I was fearless in court against the 2nd CRA and am quite positive I won the judgement. If I win the judgement, will all I be entitled to is the money I sued for, associated court and legal fees? Will they (the CRA) have to also remove the items I disputed? Has anyone else had a hard time with going to small claims? Moe
Re: Doc...did you go to court today Moe, one of the CRAs hadn't contacted me with less than a week to the court date. The reason was that I didn't schedule enough time between the date of service and the court date, and this particular CRA was served over the holidays. So I simply rescheduled the court date for a few weeks later and got busy being very proactive -- I picked up the telephone and was very persistent until I got hold of their lawyer. My strategy was to avoid court, and I was going to reschedule until I'd had ample opportunity to work it out before the court date. I would have gone to court against Equifax because my case was strong. It would have been more difficult for me with the other two, though. Doc
Re: Doc...did you go to court today Doc... YOU are the man! Congrats to you!!! I just hope that my venture goes as good. Keep your fingers crossed for me
Re: Doc...did you go to court today Doc Great strategy ... I may do the same for the last one. Although I absolutely have a strong case, taking time from work is a pain. Of course, the whole point is for them to correct my credit report - I don't care about the money. I will probably do the same as far as rescheduling and being persistent with their legal dept. Thanks, Moe
