One night between 11pm and 5 am the views went from like 8000 to over 14000. It was getting 4 - 5 views a minute when there was only 4 people on the board.
If it got 6000 additional hits in 6 hours, then that's between 16 and 17 hits per minute for the whole time! Each page reload had to take no more than 3.7 seconds which doesn't seem possible even if somebody automatically reloaded the page. I wonder if the heavy traffic to that thread earlier that day caused some sort of bug to emerge in the counting routine which caused the artificial escalation. (Or maybe somebody REALLY REALLY wanted me to be the pageview winner, lol.) Doc

No, I think you misread -- I agree with you. I was just speculating as to whether it was a buggy person or some buggy software who was responsible. I think this was more important to you than to me, that's for sure. If I could shave off the 5,000 pageviews right now, I'd do it! Doc
At first it was important to me. I won't deny it. Then I thought about and decided if someone really wanted to displace my thread - big deal. As far as how it happened, I don't know. Lizardking suggested it could be setup to have it viewed every few seconds. I have no idea how, but that is probably what happened. If it was a software glitch, wouldn't it have affected all threads? Oh well, as I said, who cares. I don't anymore. lol

There are some software cheat programs out ther for use on those advertising promotional thingyie they used to have (back when online ads were big deals) where they paid you to view pages - could've been something like that.
FINAL RESULTS...everything GONE...EXCEPT those 2 "SOFT" FIRST USA...REMAINS...(wife's credit report)... I DON'T GET IT!!! NO PERMISSABLE PURPOSE ON A CLOSED ACCOUNT!!! But I guess I should be happy at what we got...(we didn't want to be GREEDY)?!?!?!?!?!?

Doc, you ought to have some sympathy for me for being locked out during of Credit Expert for three + weeks and not being able to pull my credit report and use your trick. All: Amazing luck. All seven hards gone. As for my girlfriend's.....ten out of twelve deleted...all hards. Must have been timing. Wish we had something similar for EQ and TU.

I also have a question about Doc's Trick. What do you mean too late. Does it no longer work? Just in case, my question was Does it only work on Credit Expert? Can it also work on TU dispute pages?
