Big thanks to Spacecat and Doc. I faxed in three inquiry disputes last week and still had not seen them show up as "In Dispute". I just put seven of eight in dispute (one was "already investigated"--Grrr..). Didn't try to put the Macy's Inquiry in dispute. Don't want to spoil my lawsuit fun. I doubt it would have anyway--"already investigated". That Doc, and now Spacecat, are Tops is In-Dispute-able. Thanks!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU and THANK YOU By the way, just because we dispute, does that mean they automatically will be deleted? Or do they actually get investigated? Should we just dispute the one's that are obviously not connected to an account that shows on the credit report? Oh, and THANK YOU
Re: Doc's Trickâ?¢/I DON'T HAVE CE I USED DOC'S TRICKâ?¢ BY LOGGING INTO EXPERIAN'S WEBSITE WITH A CURRENT REPORT NUMBER. IS CE THE SAME AS THE FREEBIE FROM WWW.EXPERIAN.COM ? IF SO, I'M GLAD I DIDN'T SUBSCRIBE JUST TO USE DOC'S TRICKâ?¢.
Didn't want to be too greedy...ONLY DID 13 TOTAL SOFT and HARD combined for the 2 of us... Some of the "SOFT" are like 10-30 for each company...(OVER-KILL)!!! I JUST DON'T GET IT...HOW CAN THEY THINK THAT IT CHANGED FROM FRIDAY TO MONDAY??? Good thing "SOFT" doesn't hurt...
A quick word... We learned during Round 1 a few things about the speed of deletions: 1) Last time, hard inquiries that were more than a year old often dropped off right away (as in, a day or two). It seemed almost automatic. 2) Some soft inquiries dropped right away, while others took the whole 30 days. 3) Hard inquiries that were less than a year old took just about the whole 30 days. 4) 30 days could stretch to 40 days and, at least in a couple of cases, to even a few days more than that. Here was one thread where this was discussed at that time: http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&goto=&threadid=24392 Our mileage may vary this time around, of course. Doc
This is the greatest thing since sliced bread, I just disputed 7 "hard" most are over 1 year old, hopefully a few of them will go away.
We are very pleased to see our EX hard inquiries remain in dispute tonight. It took me a while to figure out the trick earlier today. I know I said this before on another thread but we are not going to fight our soft inquiries. If we get rid of our hard ones we will be more than happy. We'll know in 30 days from what Doc said. P.S. - I am still in shock. When I got up this morning and turned on the computer, I never dreamed this would come up. I suspect that this is the result of all that maintenance that CreditExpert has been doing. I wonder how long it will last?
Read this thread from the very beginning. Hell, JUST read the very beginning. And good luck. Vaya con nachos.
Doc, I don't know why I stayed away from this board so long. Look what I would have missed!!! Your the bomb!!!
I can't get it to work at all. I tried it both ways and everything. I notice that the CreditExpert is www.creditexpert.com and Doc's links start with experian.com. Please help.
I'm working on my cr as well as 3 of my reformed deadbeat family members, and "doctricked" all of them Friday. Results so far: 3 out of 4 reports have a combination of hard & soft deletions; 1 report (mine) 0 deletions. Thanks again, Doc.
