    The results are in!

In 12 hours I lost 3 hard and 6 soft including one inquiry from a current account.

Most of the hard were due to drop this summer.

    Thanks Again Doc.

I keep getting the following error when attempting logon:

We're sorry. We experienced a system problem and we are unable to provide your personal credit report for online viewing at this time. You may want to try again later.

Sal, that's the error Experian uses when deliberately blocking access to a consumer's report. They routinely do that now to anyone who files or has filed a lawsuit against them. The block lasts for about 6-8 weeks assuming that there are no further disputes during this period. You could always ask for a refund on that basis. I imagine that they risk more lawsuits (breach of contract) by doing this.

    Doc,

Thats interesting. Whats wrong, do the CRA get pissy when people actually try to stand up to them and make them pay for they're sleazy reporting tactics?

The strange thing with my situation is that I have not made any legal moves against them or anyone yet (might be in my future though!)

All I have done was dispute items on my reports basically like everyone else here has.

I had 10 soft inquiries drop off last night 2000-2001.
I didn't have any hard inquiries, because I figured out a few weeks ago I have two files at Exp. Credit Watch access one file, my creditors another.

But using the non-members info posted, I used a file number from my second Exp file, gained access to the second file and have disputed all my hard and soft inquiries.

    THANKS DOC!!!

Ok, I'll bite, what's the good doctor's trick? That part of the message thread is missing and I'm fuming because I discovered today that Progressive did 4 hard inqiries on me in 6 months! Talk about the best way to ruin my score and charge me higher rates!

"WHAT CREDIT CARD/LOAN DID I APPLY FOR?"

    DISPUTE THEM!!!

THEN SEND THEM A NOTICE OF CANCELLATION~~~"If you continue to do "HARD" inquires on my credit reports to "SEE HOW I DRIVE"...you will FORCE me into concidering cancelling my business with you...YOU HAVE NO PERMISSIBLE PURPOSE TO PULL MY CREDIT REPORT TO 'SEE' HOW I DRIVE"!!!

So, have we figured out the formula?

The "trick" may well be blocked soon, but in the
meantime we have all this interesting data.

Inquiries that are due to drop off in _______
months are automatically deleted by the computer.

Newer inquiry disputes are handled by a person. (or so it seems, since they still are blue)

Do we know the cutoff yet?
