Doc, it looks like we are back in *business*, for now at least. Great timing for this. My wife had two inq's that didn't fall off the last time. And, I have a friend that just refied and as a result incurred like 25 or more hard inq's. He was told they only stay on for 90 days!!!!! :-(( I requested investigation for all of his hard and soft! I've never seen a CR with THREE PAGES of inq's!!!!!!

Thanks to whomever found the *Trick* again!!

You will see an increase if any *hard* inq's are deleted. Somewhere between 2 and 4 points per deletion. Check the original *Doc's Trick* thread, I believe a couple of people posted their point increase.

If you use csc for equifax, you can just call them up. I have had all my inquiries (hard) deleted with them.

Did I do this wrong? Everytime I tried it - it came back and said, "this page has expired".

yep, I did that a few times, you have to cut and paste the link into the report (read his special notes)

Wonder if they caught on already - I tried it again and got, "Internal Server Error prevented....."

Oh well - at least I only have 6 inquiries and one is due to come off next month....

    Nutz,

I think I screwed it up. I must be easily ruffled. lol

    Instead of following Doc's instructions to the letter I first did a traditional inq. dispute. Then I went back and read, more carefully, and tried the cut & paste instructions. But - they said;

    "investigation already in progress".

    Will this still work????????

    :)

    No Mommy,

You have to be IN your credit report before you open the *new browser*. From your credit report go to "File", top left of browser, and then open a new window. Follow Doc's instructions to the letter. And don't forget #1 is actually #0.

    Good luck

    :)

Has anyone been able to access the "check an investigation in progess" feature on the main page after doing this? I tried so I could see if these disputes were listed and it wouldn't let me in. Anyone?

OK, can't seem to make it work. This is what I'm doing:
    1. log into CE and look at inquiries
    2. use file in browser to open a new window
    3. copy and past using right/left mouse buttons the link
    4. changing the 0 at the end of the string to 1, etc
    5. just receive an http error.

    Help!

Can't find Doc's string, only what Javan wrote

I guess you can't just log in you MUST be in your report and open a new window from there.

    Okay all here it is..

Go to CreditExpert log in and then view your report which will take you to your experian report... Paste docs url into your browser and hit go. there will be a 0 at the end of docs url and that indicates the most recent hard on your report... just keep pasting the link in your browser but change the last number.. the next most recent hard will be 1 the next will be 2 an so on an so forth.. Change the word "Others" to You and you can dispute soft inq as well..
