if the CRA is collecting this debt and just sent you a notice I would respond like Jlynn said.

and request validation send your letter CMRRR so you can prove that it was sent to them.

What's bad about hiding doing that is it harms the newbies because they only hear it from his side because they only read the current pages.
They haven't read what other have said about validation during the past 3 years so the newbie doesn't know there is another side to the story therefore accepting hidings views as gospel.

Thanks to lbrown59's and jlynn's advice (among others) , I was able to get NCO out of my life after sending a Validation Letter to them. This was after receiving letters from them for years!
