Try this for some older info on score values: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/creditscoring/present/sld008.htm
OK, someone help me out here, I'm looking at all three CRA reports, I don't see anything that states how long I've been at my address or at my job. I see my address listed, I see my employer listed, but there are no columns I see for years at employer, years at address, ( like there are dates for creditors for when the account was opened.) So how is this getting factored into the FICO (or the FAKO for that matter) ?????
This was a presentation that appears dated. Not sure if they can reliably get the info, but since they have a score for no data available, it's already covered.
I have questions like, checking and savings account information? where is it on my reports? Time at residence?
Should a person have less than 4 revolving accounts? and one store card? What is a good credit mix? 3 bank cards... 1-2 store cards... 2-3 installment loans...
That's a pretty nice mix- a little of everything. The secret formula is more guarded than the formula to Coca Cola
There are probably thousands of variables that go into the FICO formula, tweaking a few here and there have little effect on the total score. There are the big 4: 1) Pay your bills on time 2) Keep balances low 3) Low inquiries for new credit 4) Mix (retail, installment, visa/mc) For all we know, FICO just might be a RNG
"More guarded than the entrance to Ft Knox" had crossed my mind. It'll spill someday though. Somone who works for FICO will quit and spill the beans.
Re: Re: Re: Does anyone have the FICO formula George wins again... how do you think of those things?!?!?!? lol
