Thanks DaveLV I don't think this is the same. I got a letter in the mail today from NCO (CA) and the Orginial creditor is stated as Gulf State. As you guys can see I do come here and ask who different companies are. This is b/c I am a vicitim of Identity Theft and have battled with this for the past year and a half. This account is new to me. I just found out about it or should I say it has found it's way to me. Anyways..... I prefer not to work with NCO first off b/c they aren't the orginial creditor and they suck s**t. I want to go to the Orginial Creditor so I can clean my name off of their black list. This is why I prefer to ask this board and not the collectors. I have learned over the past year to never phone a CA only write to them. The only problem is asking the CA for infomation by mail will only follow with a letter sent back to you with a phone number to call about the problem..... this is why I say they suck s**t...lol...!!!! If I am wrong about Gulf State please......someone let me know. I have yet to see any CA sale to another CA then list the Orginial Creditor as a prior CA but I could be wrong..! So ... if anyone could help thanks.....
They are a collection agency, and I have seen different agencies by an account. That's too bad about the theft. What an awful experience. I think it was tried on me a couple of years ago, but they couldn't get anywhere with my credit ;-P
