Signed up for the free 30-day trial of CreditExpert monitoring because of the appeal of free unlimited access to CR and score. Well, thats fine and dandy, but its the same info, day in and day out. Am I expecting too much out of this service? I just paid off one of my CCs and by golly, I want the whole credit reporting world to know about it! The other services like the fancy little calculators are great and all, but you can use the same ones for free on myFICo. Maybe it is me
It's up to your CC to report payments. Some of mine are regular, some are a little lax. Look for it to show up on your CR about 1 week after your payment due date. It actually take 1 to 2 days to show up on Credit Expert. [ above represents my experience only ]
I've found that if I charge something it appears almost magically on my credit report in a short time. But lets say I pay off a credit card. I've seen it take months to update. For WFFNB, I waited 3 months. I paid of a $22 balance. No update to zero. So I disputed it. It seems to me, and I could be wrong, that if you charge something, it automagically goes into the queue for the next "tape" to the CRAs. But if you pay something off, they tag it for a later delivery. Maybe they save some money that way. Or maybe I'm just imagining it
Pat, To what does "WFFNB" refer? I have a hard inquiry on my TU cr from a "WFFNACCPT" that I can't figure out who it is!!!
World Financial Network National Bank (WFNNB) Are you sure it's not for a store credit card? They issue a ton of cards for retails stores, such as Ann Taylor, Pottery Barn, Express, etc. Buckets
*aargh* No. I haven't applied for anything since last July. The clerks down at the Post Office are beginning to greet me by name now, sending off all of these CRRR's...and now this!!
Re: Re: Does CreditExpert Suck or is it me? You too??? What's worse, one of them thought I was a debt collector!
