for the life of me I cannot get a valid ID Theft fax number out of them nor get a live person on the phone, even dialing the number provided on my credit report from them _ wtf are they up to there? Anyone have a clue about a tel or fax number to reach a LIVE HUMAN if one exists there in their fraud dept.?
They do have people but, it's like pulling teeth getting a human. I honestly forget the last time I tried to speak to a person there.
I know, it's a major PITA. What I do is press "0" - their system tells me that it doesn't recognize the command. Pressed "0" again, tells me the same crap again - but I stay on the phone. Eventually - don't know how long - a "live" person came on. What I hate most about the wait is the music they're choosing, sometimes a funeral home tape, that literally puts you to sleep.
