Right now one of the things that is hurting me is that I dont have enough revolving credit.. only about 20k in 4 cards. Will adding myself to two of my wife's cards (one with 12k limit and one with 10k) help me or does "AU" credit limit not add into your total?

will my revolving credit show my 20k plus here 22k ? or not. The two cards of hers' that I added were Sears Gold Mastercard and MBNA CCD Platinum.. will these banks report AU? They both asked for my SS# before adding me as AU

    Thanks,
    Dharmesh

Call them up and ask if they report "AU" accounts...

They don't need SS# number to ad an "AU"...GIVE IT OR DON'T GIVE IT...DOESN'T MATTER.

I am on a couple of the wifes accounts as AU. I notice that on Experian (creditexpert) when they list the total amount owed and percentage of available credit, it does not factor in both of those lines.
