My mom put me as an AU on her account. She thought it would help my score. I just wondered if they report. If so it will be a big help. My mom has perfect credit with them.
I am an AU on all of my husband's credit cards and they have always been reported on my credit report. When I talked to Transunion yesterday they told me they were no longer reporting AU. They said they had told the companies not to report them. I am very upset over this. They said being an AU didn't make you responsible for the payments. We live in Texas and because of the community property laws, I am also responsible. I am going to see if I can have the ones that are not joint be made that way. You might want to see if your Mother will let you be joint on her accounts. I don't know if the other bureaus are changing this too.
