I just got my denial in the mail w/an secured card offer...!!! The reasons for my denial are 1. Insufficient number of satisfory ratings 2. insufficient lenght of time since most recent inquiry (7/31/2001) 3. Percent of revolving creedit lines used (this is due to my payment to FCNB not showing up b/f they pulled my CR. Do you think if I pfb them and explained everything they would reconsider my app? Has anyone PFB to them and had success?
I just got denied last week myself. I pfb and got a rapid response from them. I spoke to a rep today and she asked me to fax proof of income. She said that she would let me know by tommorrow of her decision. It sounds pretty positive, she said that she needs the proof of income to overide the decision. I hope that is good and I don't get an offer for a secured card. I will post my results when I get them. The one thing I can tell you is that they respond very quick. Good luck
I just checked online on my application status. They approved me for a gold card with $1000 limit. This is alot better than I expected. They pulled TU on me which is around 650. I got denied for the target card, but who cares, I got a prime card at 12.99 after 1 year with subprime cards. I think I will hang on to some of the subprime cards for a while just to get some tradelines reported. I am overwhelmed with joy over this. Thanks to this board I found out about PFB and believe me it works. I have 2 more pfb pending, one with citibank and one with national city.
Yes, PFB does work for BofA Denials. I was denied first by my original application, then by placing a phone call to customer service for a reconsideration. I wrote a letter via regular mail and was denied again. My last attempt was to write via PFB. At first they said no, but I convinced the person to pulled my Equifax report which had all of the info they were looking for and finally after about a month and a half, I was approved for a Platium Card with a decent limit for me. PFB works with BofA, but I'm still waiting for my results from Chase. I don't think PFB works at all for Chase. Good Luck.
