Does RMA buy accounts that are past the sol? I got a letter about a week ago on an account, that I am sure of is past SOL.
yes, they do..they buy any and all accounts, regardless of age. and they are partnered with EQ in some fashion, because it is damn near impossible to get an RMA TL off your EQ report. Im dealing with this crap now. after 1 dispute and verification on an RMA account, they will not let me dispute it any longer. im like WTF? There is a TL right below it from another CA that I've disputed 3 times already as 'not mine' yet I cannot dispute RMA TL's more than 1 time? something fishy going on there.
RMA is bad bad bad. It's my understanding that they were once owned by Equifax. In fact, late last year, RMA faxed me a settlement offer from a fax machine that said Equifax.
Thats funny, I was reading over an old settlement fax from RMA and on the bottom it also indicated it was from EQ. Seems like a strong cinflict of intrest to me.
