I applied a week ago and was denied. I am in the Chicago area and they pulled Equifax/CSC for me.

I applied and received the card in March 2002. My Equifax/MyFico score was around 710 at the time. The Target Visa limit that I received was $10,000.00. My APR is 15.9 which makes it one of my highest. I have not requested a reduction yet.

This is what I started with. The good people of this
board suggested I call. After calling three times, I
hit a representative who said they could drop me one
tier, to 12.9.....Just recently I called them and said I
would be able to utilize the card more if I had a lower rate---bam--9.9-- 4.5 mos after I opened it. This was after Ron, I think, told us of his success.

Who is CSC? If you don't mind sharing what was your Equifax score? Did you apply online or in the store? I am also in Chgo and I am interested in applying.

CSC is an affiliate of Equifax. It seems that they tend to service the midwest. They are based out of Houston.
