I had a Chap 7 in Sept 1998. Since then I have had maybe 2 30 day lates and they were in Dec 2000, and Jan. 2001. I have no collections paid or unpaid, no jusdgements paid or unpaid. I just got a mortgage which caused a 30 point drop. Now my equ. score is only 588.
My friend had a chp 7 in Sept 1996. She has since then paid everything late, many 30, 60, 90 and charge offs. She has several unpaid collections and an unpaid judgement. She is filing chap 7 again next week. Her equ. score is 575.

How is this fair? I have done everything to help my credit and I am not much better off score wise than a total non payer of debt.

I just don't get it. How can George who has so many years of perfect credit have the same score as someone who filed BK a year ago? I think FICO can join Wells Fargo on my list of companies that have no brain power working for them.

This is not my week. LOL

If I have learned anything in my quest and in reading everyone's stories here...nothing in this FICO or credit reporting system makes sense!!
