Has anyone ver disputed an account w/tu and they actually mark the acct? I have 4 disputes going on some are getting close to 20 days old yet none of them are marked. Meanwhile equifax has marked each of them within 24 hours..

TU is known for not marking disputed account. Yes it is an FCRA violation

it is a violation of the FCRA for TU AND the Creditors or CA's as I have read it(furnishers of information)

TU apparently "may" be an easy way to get that violation that so many seek. It appears if the acct is old enough or cheap enough you can get the CA,OC or TU itself to violate the FCRA and then compel the OC or CA to delete on all 3 reports or get sued for a violation.....

    My personal situation..
9 negative tradelines 8 of which are reported to the other 2 CRA's..The ones OVER $1000 are past SOL(2 repos and 1 eviction) the ones UNDER SOL are all less than $1000............................................
It SEEMS that I may have an easy time convincing all the creditors to delete..what do you all think?

BTW have 4 disputed accts with TU 20 days into this and not 1 marked as disputed have a copy before the disputes and have an online copy as of yesterday..how often should I print out the accounts...3 in 1 tracking with privacyguard..no affiliation.....

From what I understand, the best way to handle this is to send a validation letter to the CA, then dispute with TU. Since Transunion does not have the means of showing the item in dispute, that is violation number 1. If the item comes back verified but you have not received proper validation or any contact from the ca, that is violation 2. If you send an estoppel letter to the CA, and they contact you and still report. You have a suit against the CA. The way to get the removal is to bring to TU attention that they have verfied but you have letters, ( validation letters crrr and faxes to the CA) but no response from the CA. From what some veterans have said, TU will essentially back down and delete the item instead of going to court.

What about approaching the CA or OC to delete all neg tradelines from all CRA's since just getting TU to delete there own report still may leave you with more?

The only problem with negotiating with CA is that they are professional liars. The only means of possibly getting the item removed is fixing up a really neat endorsement on the back of a cashier check and sending an intent letter that a collection supervisor will have to sign. If the tradeline is not removed after payment, you will find that you will have to hang their behinds in a sling by using bbauer knockout estoppel letter or an intent to sue with the full intention of suing if they cross you in any way. The way I am approaching my repair is that these items are very personal and I am too old to have bad credit. So I have read and re-read the FAQ. But don't pay anything to CA until you have exhausted the validation process, read butch "what is validation" to derive if they have even established that you owe the alleged liability. Also, keep copies of everything and never state that the liability is your, it is alway an alleged liability and that you are settling this item in an attempt to cure or remove this item from your credit report. Also hint that if this is not removed that you will have to take it to the next level, which is you acting as a CA. OC do not have validate under FDCPA. Try a measure of goodwill when dealing with them.

I just hinted that I would sue 1st premiere for $1k per inquiry per credit report and they removed the inquiries. This was done subtely but trust me, I was prepared to do it. I have access to a federal courthouse which is down the street from my job and a county courthouse. It is just a matter of filling out my complaint to show them how muche you want their money.
