I was curious if anyone has noticed if the credit bureaus treat people in different states differently(Beyond free or discounted reports, etc).

I have called from living in IL and WI and I still get the same crappy service. :)

    at least they're consistent ;)
Incidently, how easy is it to get reports in the states that give them to you free?

Only difference I can see would be with Equifax, and that's because here in Dallas they have a local office that handles all their disputes.

I still send disputes to Georgia (Let them worry about it - if they transfer then they do it while the clock's ticking)...

how does this local office nonsense work, I've never had to deal with it. here in CA the address they always give is in Atlanta GA and I've never been told otherwise.
