anyone have a letter that disputes names on CR. I have disputed at least 3 times on EQ about the names 10 variations even one that says I'm ABC L my last name, WTH!!! They will not remove them, what's up with that? Also, I've disputed a BK 13 that was dismissed as not mine, inaccurate and they are still verifing it like it went through. Any advice would be appreciated..
If I were in your shoes... I would the CRA they are enabling identity fraud. I believe that if someone applied for credit using your ssn but a name other than one that is on your report, that would throw up a red flag (at least to the creditor). But that may not happen if someone applies for credit using one of the erroneous names from your report, thus making you more susceptible to identity theft/fraud. Even if that was not true, a report should report facts. If these are names that you have never used, they should not be there, point blank. The downside: The CRA will claim that the reason that these names show on your credit file is b/c you have applied for credit using these names before.
Your right Queen Bee, But everything on my report is mine using the right name - I better not say that to loud (smile). Anyway, your right CRA are suppose to report accurate information and again I've written 3 letters, what would you do next if it were you?
Re: the BK13 On the BK13, do you have the paperwork showing it was dismissed as not yours? Is that a court ruling?
