    Hey Dog...

Today in the mail I received a Capital One Pre-Approval Voucher. Is this what you used to get the Audi?

It's a long letter w/ a voucher at the top and it's got a personal approval code. It says to call this 800 number and use that code to get my financing amount. Is this what you did?

It says after getting my approval amount, all I need to bring to the dealership is DL, SS card, phone bill, proof of full coverage insurance, pay stub, and title or coupon for trade-in.

Cap One Auto Finance is the one I used.
M - I just pulled out the original mailer from Cap One: The envelope says "Platinum Financing for Select Cardholders"..

    Mine says:

The Prestige of Platinum - pre-approved financing up to $30K......

At the bottom on mine is a "private reservation number". Then it says call 1-800-304-4854 or go to
www.carfund.com and register before the expiration date...

MP - there was no expiration date - BUT - then I went thru carfund.com, applied with my reservation
number, and did it on a Sun night. Monday am I got the approval email for $30K, LTV 130%, max monthly payment $600.

I think you have the same offer - just updated.
I will say their SERVICE WAS AS ADVERTISED- NO HASSLE. They send you a bill once a month. You CAN pay be phone - but each transaction by phone is $6.95....I sent in the payments via snail mail.

AGAIN, the DEALER told me that Cap One only sent these offers to their OWN CARDMEMBERS! You would
get the loan - and MP$40 - it makes buying FUN when you realize you get to choose MOST MAKES!

GOOD NEWS MP$40 - if YOU DO THEIR LOAN, get this FOR A DOWN PAYMENT, you pay the 10% of the new or used car purchae price - OR $1K - whichever is less...so think about your down pymnt - it could be as low as $1000.
I put down $10K on the Audi - but I did not have to...

    later - dogman

Thanks! Humm....my interest is sparked. I have been entertaining the idea of getting a newer Caddy. I can afford more of a monthly payment since when I refinanced through my bank, it cut my payment down about $90/mo! So the idea of upgrading to a Caddy 2-3 years newer is an interesting thought. I'll play w/ the idea.

    Thanks for the info! :)

FYI...I'm working on a plan for Postrio...hang tight. Been busy down here in Mtn. View. This company works in *start-up* mode 24/7! :-(
