Now that I got my confirmation letter I can't help but to come on here and gloat. Ford respondend to an ITS by marking my account with them as Paid in Full-Never late. They decided it was in their best interest to remove (7) 30 day lates and (1) 60 from each of my credit reports... When I read the letter I was so shocked you could have pushed me over with a feather! I was expecting a long hard uphill battle with them to get them to correct what was erroniously placed on my credit reports. Now I'm down to the last negative tradeline on my credit reports. My credit repair journey is almost finally complete! Hopefully it will all be over soon. For everyone out there facing the same struggles, a few words of encouragement: The seemingly impossible can be done. All it takes is a lot of persistenance, attention to detail, and some luck.
I have a question, what if the lates are due to you being joint with someone else. Could you possibly request a removal based on that?
Congrats on the account update (maybe it was the **quality** paper?)! How is the lawsuit against the CRA going?
Both parties are equally responsible for the history of the account if the account is joint. Should one party leverage deletions, the other should be able to use the proof of those deletions as leverage to get the same deleted off his/her credit reports.
"Quality" paper is the only thing I can think of. Most of what I have heard on this board is that they are really stubborn when dealing with them. The lawsuit is going. Haven't had much time to devote to it the last couple weeks. Its spring time on the farm and I've had to deal with lime, fertilizer, fencing and machinery that needs maintenence.
