eq, tu, ex all have these notations, but what is the difference? Is eq the only somewhat honest cra? date of status and status as of, are just times when the ca has checked in w/ the cra right? so essentially how do you figure all this out (7 year/sol) business if the only dates you have are date opened, and updated?
-Disputing the status of the account and requesting the DATE OF ORIGINAL DELINQUENCY FROM THE REPORTING AGENCY should clear it up. -The 7 year reporting period begins at the date of original delinquency (give or take a few months). FCRA 605 (c) http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fcra.htm#605 "(c) Running of reporting period. (1) In general. The 7-year period referred to in paragraphs (4) and (6)(2) of subsection (a) shall begin, with respect to any delinquent account that is placed for collection (internally or by referral to a third party, whichever is earlier), charged to profit and loss, or subjected to any similar action, upon the expiration of the 180-day period beginning on the date of the commencement of the delinquency which immediately preceded the collection activity, charge to profit and loss, or similar action."
Yes, the DOOD may be entirely hidden from the consumer version of your credit profile. You may have to call and ask for it. Don't rush to thinking your account might be re-aged until you know the reported DOOD.
