Try as I might, I cannot find an entry for "date of last activity" (or something that means the same thing) on the entries on my TU report.

What does TU call it and where is it?!

    Thanks!

I've asked this question before on this board and got no response. I did ask TU though. If its a closed account the rep told me its the paid off or closed date. If its open then its the last update. This has not been verified though.

It's not on there at all, but his is what I do, if the 2 other bureaus have the same DOL, I go by that date. If you use the last "updated" date then that is reaging and it's illegal.

If it's a negative account you're talking about, save all of your reports. If a CA bought the account they are supposed to put on there somewhere "collection as of xx/xx", that is when it was sent to them, go by that date and try to figure out when you stopped making payments, contact the original creditor if need be.
    Hope this rambling makes sense!

We have touched on this briefly. It stinks, but every time you dispute, they seem to use that date as the dola. This is a battle I foresee in my near horizon.

My number one reason for a low TU score is recent derog/collections, etc. I haven't had a late payment or any type of delinquency in over five years and yet the three derogs on there look like they are from 2001 and 2002 because I have disputed them. :(
