Is this was it really takes to get someone to answer my question?

Is it worth disputing a closed account so that I can have a 2- 30day late and 1-60 day late removed? Other than that, it was good, and I would be removing a half decent tradeline.

How long do they keep records up to date in their systems? I know that Amex has a real hard time looking me up since my account was charged off in 2001. I was able to dispute this account and had it removed from a couple CRA's so far.

I personally feel that I need to do my best to remove all lates ect, and it might be just easier to delete the account, is this correct?

Please correct me if I am ass backwards here. I have over 45 30 day lates to get rid of over the past 6 years. This is not to mention a few 60 and a couple 90

    Maybe I can help.

If I were in your shoes I would dispute with the 3 CRA's as never late.

I would also send out dispute letters to the OC's disputing never late.

Both sets of letters sent CMRRR.

This would give you the possibility of getting the baddies deleted as well as leverage to get them deleted through inadvertent or purposeful violations.

But yes, removing an aged account even if negative will drop your score.

Heck, I had 6 medical collections deleted that were 5 and 6 years old and my score dropped.

There's a fine line between the age of an account and the negative value of it.

If an account appears to be neg. but is a old TL, the benefit derived from it's age MAY outweigh the neg impact on your score.

It's hard to determine whether or not an old, neg TL should be removed.

In my opinion YES, it should.

I started by cleaning my reports completely. I have NO negs. NONE!

Then I started working on building new TL's.
