I pulled my credit report through Experian on December 11 and I was billed (credit card) that same day. I pulled my credit card statement online this morning and noticed a second charge for the same amount dated January 2. I contacted Experian to inquire about this charge (if someone has been using my card or if I just happened to be double billed by Experian). They would not answer my questions and told me I would have to contact them in writing to get my account credited. Is there a department I can contact via e-mail or phone? I don't want to wait 30 days to get my questions answered. Thanks in advance. Dani
I think that I am experiencing something weird too. I subscribe to CE and CW (Creditwatch=EQF). I noticed when checked my Visa account: CL 500, available 488. The only thing I have ever 'charged' with this account is take the "free" trials offered by CE and CW. Have no idea where those $12 went...
That reminds me of the time that Trans Union actually billed me 11 times for one pull. A week later I got a letter stating they where having technical difficulties and would refund all 11. Apparently they did this to a lot of people that day.
That is a "PRE-APPROVAL" for the charge...like when you check into a HOTEL, they do a "PRE-APPROVAL" for what they think you MIGHT spend...(A HOLD ON FUNDS). If you PAY ANOTHER WAY, it will DROP OFF...
