I had a bankruptcy five years ago, (1997). Since then, I have had a flawlwss credit record, no missed payments, etc. FICO score is now 650. Privista maintains that one of the chief reasons my score is so low is "in the past, you have been delinquent on 12 accounts" well, DUH! these are the accounts in bankruptcy. My girlfriend also had a bankruptcy about that time, and does not have this listing on her 700 FICO score. In fact, none of the accounts that are listed in the bankruptcy are even mentioned on her report! Does anyone know why accounts in bankruptcy are still being reported in my file, but not hers?
