Credit Management, Inc. is no longer a part of my life. Quick story, they had a collection item from 99 (TCI) and were extremely uncooperative. After finding out about the collection I paid it on the "verbal" promise that they would remove it. 2 years later, not only was it not removed, it still showed as an unpaid collection. I called them, they refused to do anything other than send me a letter showing paid. Basically those who've had to deal with them know that they're anything but friendly and helpful. As of yesterday - Equifax has notified me that they are removing CMI from the report (Experian updated them to a paid/never late account - oh well, that mark boosted my score by 11 points, who am I to complain). So, yes - this victory feels very satisfying. Now I know how LKH feels with Gulfstate! 2 derogs down, 8 more to go on Equifax (Thankfully the remaining derogs are only lates). Wish me luck as I now whip out another dispute letter GT
