DTV internet--can they get me?

    Here's a first for me:

I ordered DirecTV DSL (originally Telocity) for my sis' as a birthday present a long time ago. I paid the bill for 6mos, she said she would take over the monthly charges, so I let her.

Not sure how they let her go so long without paying, but now she owes them for a couple hundred dollars of unpaid internet service.

The service was in my name, but at her address and phone number (several hundred miles and one state away).

Also, I always used MBNA one-time use card numbers to pay the bill, so:

They have my name, expired CC #s, and a phone # that isn't mine. Is there any way this bill could come back and haunt me, or could I let her deal with it?

I would like to let her handle her own (extensive) debts, but not at the risk of Telocity whacking my credit.

    TIA, any info is appreciated--

7 days past the second UNPAID month, it should have been SHUT OFF...

It is NOT your problem...SORT OF...

Tell her to pay LIKE SHE SAID SHE WOULD...you had NO BENEFIT OF THE SERVICE...(but YOU signed up for it)...
