Called my insurer to put Collision Coverage on my Pick Up.
They said I would have to get it inspected before they could add it to the policy.

How stupid can they get? ? ?

    Are you being sarcastic?

If your car isn't new it makes sense for it to be inspected prior it being insured. That way, they can catalogue what pre-existing damage your car has. It prevents you from asking them to repair stuff that was broken before the effective date of the policy.

DOESN'T MATTER IF THEY INSPECT IT...THEY AINT' GONNA' PAY FOR IT ANYWAY...

    RULE #1) COLLECT PREMIUMS
    RULE #2) COLLECT PREMIUMS
    RULE #3) SEE RULE #1 OR #2

They don't have $1,000,000,000+ in reserves by PAYING FOR CLAIMS!!!

    BY GEORGE YOU'RE RIGHT GEORGE:
That's why mandatory auto insurance is a big charade.
The states require you to pay the insurance company for a product that doesn't exist.
    Now ain't that a winner!?
Excuse the caps folks just speaking to George in his own language lol !

They wanted me to take it to their out of town inspection site.
I asked them how I was supposed to do that with no coverage.
If it's safe to drive it to the inspection station then why would I need the coverage?
If I don't need the protection then why are they trying to sell it to me.?
