Many of you talk about duplicate accounts on your credit reports. I have four accounts from the same collection agency for the same original creditor (hospital bills). Apparently they are clinic visits for my daughter and are the balances after the insurance paid a percentage. Is this considered a duplicate listing? Shouldn't they add the four together and call it one collection account?

Have you disputed these items? If not, I recommend doing so.

Could these amounts be for seperate visits, or procedures? Not that four listings make sense, but sometimes something as simple as different dates or procedures done in the lab or X Ray could make a difference. Note that I did not say "Logical" difference.

Thanks for your reply. Should I dispute these as "not mine" or as "duplicates"????
