duplicate credit card

I applied for a major credit card about two months ago and got approved online. I did an immediate balance transfer. When I got the card, I did one transaction after activating it. When my first bill arrived I paid more than the minimum.

Today I received an email from the creditor saying my application had been approved, my balance transfer was done and I should receive my card in the mail in a few days. This is basically the same email I received from them two months ago.

Could they be sending me another card? Or just a duplicate of the first? I really need the credit so won't ask them just in case they are sending me another card. Or is it just a screw up - an email being sent by mistake?

Any thoughts? I will let you know.

JUST WAIT IT OUT... THEY MAY HAVE GIVEN YOU A SECOND ACCOUNT, OR THEY ARE
CHANGING THE ACCOUNT NUMBER, OR JUST A SECOND CARD FOR THE FIRST ACCOUNT.

Next Card did the exact same thing to me today. I think its just a screw up.

That's what I will do - wait it out.

On another note, didn't you write a few weeks ago that you were applying for an increase in your credit limit on Nextcard shortly after receiving it? If that was you, how did it go?
