This is the Library Book account that I have posted about previously. Wasn't sure if this should be a separate thread or not. This has to do with my DV letter, and the info that goes in it.

---I went to start my DV letter and I noticed some freaky things:

    1. The account number the creditor has says: xxxxxxxxx
Im not sure how they can look up my account by a bunch of X's.
    2. The name that this creditor would know me by has changed. I have since remarried. Do I use the name they would know me by or my current legal name?
    3. Same goes for my address. I have moved since, so would I put my new address or the old house I use to live at?
    4. I think I have the answer to this one, but Ill ask anyway. So I contact the orgional creditor and ask them for the address of who they sold it to, as this information isnt on my credit report either? It just has their name.

Basically, it boils down to my name & address have changed. The account number is just a bunch of X's. I don't think they could verfy this if they wanted to. No information matches up. I'm not sure what to do. Sorry if these questions have already been answered. I tried doing a search, to no avail. Not trying to come off as a noob.

If you message me the name, I can find an address and fax # for you.

The account number is obscured for your protection.

I would use my current name and address.

I would just say that you obtained your credit report, saw their tradeline acct #xxxxxxxxxxxxx, and I have no idea what you are talking about, and want to know what the alleged account is for.

If they can't find it, then that's their problem.
