Well I asked her the same thing...she said she did see him eating the peach until they meet up again. she told him to put the peach in a plastic bag.. It was in their cart and they were at the cash register. They were going to pay for it before the security guard approached them... But she did Scolled him for eating the peach...
This is the Responsibility protion of California Penal Code. You will see that the child, adult if you will, is responsible for the peach. I know that a peach seems really small, but from a shortage viewpoint, you pay a higher cost for your next peach because of the theft. Regardless, I think that you can use this to her advantage in getting the entry off of the report. The mother should have nothing to do with it. If you need, quote the code of law in the letter to the CA. I will post where I found the information for you. http://www.law.buffalo.edu/homepage/dubber/crimcode/respons/California_Penal_Code.htm Again, I think that this is sufficient evidence to get it off her reports even if they don't pay it. BUT be careful with that, it could end up on the son's reports. Good Luck!
Thanks for the God Sent.. (ERICA)...she has been fighting with this every since she realized it was on her report... I agree with u the mother should not have to pay for the peach.. I will foward all of the information to his mom right aways... The son is very ashame.. he really regrets eating that peach.. Thanks Passion....
on another note Erica... We may pay more true.... ..but I have seen fruits and veggies..thrown away... Does that make our cost go up? or is it just when someone is sampling fruits if you will?... only...a question. I have never experience this...I just thought it was strange. Knowing that food is thrown away daily...
I'm pretty sure that the situations you talk about are already factored into the price. I can't say for sure.
Okay!.. Just tryiing to gain some knowledge!... Thanks.Oh knoweledable one(smile!) greatfully, passion
$183.00 peaches. Wonder how much their bananas are apiece? Would hate to buy a pineapple. Can imagine the price of a watermelon. Do they have any better deals on vegetables? Bet they have parking meters in their stalls at 25 cents a minute! It sure wouldn't be the place to buy stake would it?
A local supermarket where I live installed several "Self Check out lines" at which you scan, bag, and pay for your items without a cashier - this is a great idea - EXCEPT - There is a 75 cent surcharge for using the self check out line! The manager couldn't justify it to me, he just refunded the surcharge. I wonder how many people don't notice this on their receipt and just pay it. That, in my opinion, is theft. Charging a shopper 75 cents for the privilige of not having their groceries rang up and bagged.
I am not sure of the name of the store..but I will get that and pass it along.. that's funny I do wonder about the prices of their fruits... I too was jiped several times.. oh shoppers be aware.... When your food scans. you mabe charged a different price then what you see. I brought some meat that was $3.50... It scanned for 9.75....If I had not look at my receip...I would have never know.. Talk about stealing../Theft..? you figure... I have always looked at my recipt. and found this scanned for 7cents----15----20---30--1.00.... more then the price adver... BE on the look out.. Stores Stealing from customers!...
Although it should have been weighed before it was eaten...IT WAS BLOWN WAY OUT OF PROPORTION... WHAT HAPPENED TO LEAVING THE STORE FOR INTENT??? CASE DISMISSED...NOBODY OWES THE $183.00 MAKE THEM PROVE THE $183.00 DEBT BY SIGNED RESPONSIBILITY OF THE MOTHER... THE 17 YEAR OLD CAN'T SIGN A CONTRACT EITHER!!! TELL THEM TO GET THE $183.00 FROM SOME ONE WHO CARES!!!
I'd apply this to the Perilous Pilfered Peach Problem (Like That?) also. Can you imagine how embarrassed that grocery store manager would be to have one of those attack dog TV consumer reporters asking him what a $183 peach looks like? What city in California is this, BTW? I've got a good friend in the news dept. at the CBS affiliate in San Diego. I bet they'd love to run a story like this.
I know of a case where tom and bob worked at a factory.bob asked tom if he could borrow his utility trailer.tom let him use it and bob went off to Az for 6 months.when bob came back home he chained the trailer to a tree in his yard.when tom went out to bobs to get the trailer bob wouldn't let him have it because bob said the trailer was his.tom called the law but he couldn't prove that he owned the trailer so bob got to keep it. Another case .Factory worker walks off with the plants 20 inch box fan. they collar him about it.he says fan is his that he brought from home.company can't prove they own it. Case Closed.
